Recent Update!

Hello, lovely gamers.

There's been an update made to the Fracture Demo over the past couple of days (Published Sunday afternoon GMT, just in time to have it downloaded for a stream I was participating in, hooray!) and it was quite a lot more than just a juice/polish, so I thought I'd post a devlog to let you all know. The devlog is here a few days after the update mainly because I've been so busy with family responsibilities and catching up with sleep.

The intention of this update was to add more story content and make the demo longer, a decision I agonised over a little, seeing as Fracture is a 6 chapter game and the prologue and Chapter 1 seemed like a sensible length. In the end, I decided I wanted to be generous to the player and give them their dues, their reward for completing the big puzzle room in Chapter 1, where some of my favourite early game banter between Nick and Claire occurs.

That reward is now not just the journal entry, but also the first half of Chapter 2, giving you all a chance to experience all of the members of the main cast, including an older and wiser Sarah and her husband, David. It's time to finally see what happens when some of these personalities REALLY clash, not to mention take a look at some of the best artwork I've produced so far (I'm very proud of my little park, especially the trees and scrolling clouds.)

The journal entry unlocks at the end of the demo just like before, so you can read it after the new scenes.

Oh, I also changed how the password system worked just a little, but I'm not sure if I preferred the older version so may find myself returning to my original format.
